What’s better than being a safe towing and recovery operator? Being rewarded for it! You deserve to be recognized for your utmost dedication to the field, and you can now make this possible through the new Best in Tow Program.
National Interstate & TowCap PremierSM Alternative Risk Program, in conjunction with the International Towing Museum, is proud to sponsor the Best in Tow Program for 2023-2024, created to recognize towing and recovery specialists who achieve best-in-class safety performance.
“We are thrilled to support the towing and recovery industry by introducing the Best in Tow program. We created this program, in conjunction with the International Towing Museum, to recognize towing and recovery specialists who achieve best-in-class safety performance. Not only do specialists have the opportunity to receive up to $10,000 for first place, but the TowCap Premier program will donate $25,000 to the International Towing & Recovery Survivor Fund,” explained Lauren Fronczek, Assistant Vice President of Specialty Transportation.
Best In Tow applications are due August 31, 2024. Applicants must provide loss data from the evaluation period of June 30, 2023, through June 20, 2024, and will earn points in four categories (auto liability claims frequency, auto liability claims reporting time, auto liability claims severity and best practices utilization). Towing and recovery specialists must have at least ten (10) power units* and must be members of the International Towing Museum. Awards will be distributed at the 2023 Tennessee Tow Show. Additionally, National Interstate’s TowCap Premier membership will donate $25,000 to the International Towing & Recovery Survivor Fund to further honor the brave members of the community.

The museum was started more than 20 years ago when a group of dedicated towing professionals, the Friends of Towing, decided to recognize outstanding individuals in the towing and recovery industry worldwide, record the industry’s history, collect and display artifacts and memorabilia in a museum setting, and provide information about the industry to the public. The first Hall of Fame class consisted of 27 members and today has grown to include over 300 distinguished towing professionals. Visit the International Towing Museum website for more information on becoming a member.
*Power units are defined as tractors and commercial trucks. Trailers and private passenger vehicles are not included in the count.
