Launched in 2003, Venture^SM is a group rental captive comprised of best-in-class trucking operators. It is an innovative and stable insurance solution for businesses that have deep commitments to safety and want to take an active approach to their overall cost of risk. 

Venture was created for those who preferred a lower-risk option, while still receiving the benefits of a captive structure. Our unique program features a $50,000 retention that caters to operators managing between 30-100 units. The launch of the Venture program introduced a flexible option that empowers customers to transition between National Interstate programs based on their appetite for risk. This way, they can enjoy a risk level that aligns with their operational needs!

Take Control: Unlike traditional insurance, you pay your premium into a customized program, and if you have a favorable loss experience, you could receive funds back along with investment income.

Continuously Improve: Enhance your operation, including the most updated safety guidance from our in-house Loss Control experts, through our consultative approach to risk management.

Collaborate: This program provides the ability to share best practices with other best-in-class trucking operators. Venture hosts two Advisory Board Meetings a year, giving members and their agents the opportunity to develop relationships with the other members and the National Interstate team.
